What is a ground line pump?

A ground line pump is a set of pipes and hoses, which are connected from the concrete truck. The pump runs along the ground and can be positioned to avoid any obstacle, and feed directly to the site.

What is a boom pump?

A boom pump truck uses a remote controlled arm to delivery the concrete to hard-to-reach places. The arm can be extended to reach over buildings and construction sites, when there is no direct path.

Thanks to our batching plant and modern vehicles, we can supply over 400m3 of concrete to customers across the area.

What strength / grade concrete can I order?

We can mix batches to meet your exact requirements, from C8 to C40 - let us know what you need the concrete for, and we can advise the best strength and grade. Or let us know over the phone what you need.

How can I prepare for a concrete delivery via pump?

Make sure access to the site is as clear as possible, our pumps can navigate around, through and over obstacles, but our trucks can’t, so it helps us a lot if we can park as close as possible to your location. If your street is a narrow one, or one where many cars often park, please inform us ahead of time so we can devise a new approach. We also ask customers to provide a bag of cement to lubricate the pump prior to pumping any concrete, this ensure a quick, smooth and efficient pour.

Can I get my concrete pumped out of hours?

Yes you can. We provide out of hours concrete pumping for domestic and commercial clients. Simply give us a call if you require concrete pumped outside of normal working hours, we are here to help.

What is concrete pumping used for?

Concrete pumping is used for delivering concrete quickly and cleanly to a precise location on a site. Ground pumps can move concrete along bumpy terrain, and through areas with restricted access, meaning that jobs can be completed quickly that would otherwise be tricky and time consuming.

How does concrete pumping work?

Our concrete pumps are backed up to a concrete mixer, and the concrete mix is fed through the pump, which will have been laid out to reach the exact point where you need the mix. Boom pumps are attached to a hydraulic arm, which allows us to reach up and over buildings to pump concrete – perfect for delivering a batch to the rear of a row of terraced houses, for example.

What are the benefits of concrete pumping?

Concrete pumping brings a number of benefits to a construction project. Firstly, it removes the need for multiple back-and-forth trips with a wheelbarrow, moving heavy loads of concrete to the required spot. It’s also a much cleaner way of pouring concrete, there no spillages, which means no wasted concrete and no time wasted cleaning up at the end of the pour. One of the main benefits of concrete pumping is the way it works with awkward locations and place with restricted access (e.g around corners, through alleyways and even up stairs)
